End of Term Report ：VCE Program 中澳VCE项目外教多元化课堂报告

     Term I 2016 is coming to an end, and we can happily announce that our students have been exposed to a very dynamic and positive series of events. Our curriculum was completed on scheduled time, and our students have taken advantage of an efficient and productive use of our human resources.

        2016学年第一学期即将结束，我们可以自豪地向大家宣布：过去这一学期，中澳国际班的学生参加了一系列有活力、正能量的活动，教师按计划完成了课程内的教学任务，学生也能高效地利用各项资源，并取得理想效果。

       Our Sanshui-VCE department counts with a well-qualified and diverse team of professionals.

       佛山市北外附校三水外国语学校的VCE项目拥有一支多元化的优质专业外教团队。

       Mr. Sebastian Zanacchi from Australia, VCE-Director of Studies and Teacher, has a bachelor and Master degree from Macquarie University working with English as a second language.

        VCE英语教研主管Sebastian Zanacchi来自澳大利亚 ，是麦考瑞大学本科和硕士毕业生，现担任ESL（英语作为第二语言）的教学工作。

        Ms. Suvina Krishnarajah from Malaysia has a degree in English language, a Masters in English literature, and more than 15 years of teaching experience.

         Suvina Krishnarajah来自马来西亚，英语语言学士，英语文学硕士，有着15年以上的教学经验。

        Mr. Kyle Sutton from New Zealand has a degree in Public Relations and Media, and more than 10 years of teaching experience.

       Kyle Sutton来自新西兰，公共关系和传媒专业双学位学士，执教超过十年。

       Ms Andrea Fernandez from Australia counts with vast experience in tertiary health education, and most recently English as a second language.

       Andrea Fernandez 来自澳大利亚，有着丰富的高等健康教育经验，近年来开始投身于ESL（英语作为第二语言）的教学工作。

        In Sanshui-VCE, we emphasise the need of exposing our students to all of our teachers in order to use our resources in the most efficient and productive manner. Our students have definitely gained exposure and knowledge from our vast array of professionals.

        我校VCE项目一直秉承着让学生尽可能多地接触不同类型外教的理念，让学生们充分高效地利用他们能获得的教师资源。当然我们的学生也成功地做到了这一点。

       We managed to use our resources to the best of our abilities. For instance, analysing filming techniques is a core area of the English VCE curriculum.. Fortunately, we count with Mr. Sutton’s expertise in filming, giving our students a highly qualified insight on film analysis.

       学生要顺利通过VCE英语，必须掌握以下知识和技能：详细分析说服性语言技巧及论据，具体探讨英语名著、小说、戏剧和电影拍摄手法，以及其他领域的研究。为实现这些教学目标，我们物尽其用，人尽其才。例如VCE期末考试的重点内容就涉及电影拍摄手法分析。幸运的是，Kyle Sutton先生就有电影拍摄这方面的专业经验，所以我们的学生可以从他身上学习电影拍摄，从而对电影分析有自己深入的见解。

       At times, for the sake of strengthening our students’ capabilities, we have combined Senior 1 and Senior 2 so that experiences are shared, reinforcing pre-acquired knowledge.

        为提升学生的综合能力，我们有时也会将高一年级和高二年级的学生集合起来，让他们分享各自的经历，进一步巩固先前学到的知识。

        In addition, our VCE alumni visited us in December to share their current experience, giving our students a glimpse of life in Australia.

        此外，12月我校还邀请了2016届的12名中澳国际班毕业生重回母校与在读学生分享交流，让学生提前了解澳洲的学习生活。

    On December 8th and 9th 2016, Sanshui Foreign Languages School had the privilege of hosting the “Annual VCE Quality Teaching Conference” welcoming all participants of VCE in China and Australian mentors. 

        12月8日和9日，2016年黑利伯瑞-艾文豪VCE冬季教学峰会在我校隆重召开。来自澳洲的近20位导师和中国11所VCE合作伙伴学校的教师代表参加了此次峰会。

        This conference allowed all teachers to be updated on current changes in English and Chemistry courses to be implemented in 2017. This demonstrates the dynamic nature of VCE, which is reviewed every five years by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority guaranteeing that its curriculum stays at the forefront of modern western education meeting the ever-changing demands of top world ranking universities.

        本次峰会为VCE教师提供了一个学术讨论平台，各科目教师相聚一起共同探讨2017年VCE课程《教学设计》中的重大变化。这也展现了VCE课程的变化性与多样性，维多利亚州教育课程评估署每5年会对VCE课程进行一次评审，以确保课程符合西方现代化教育的一流水准，满足世界顶尖大学的要求。

         Students from Senior 1 and 2 were purposely invited to join this conference in order for them to see the magnitude of high quality professionals, and institutions behind their program – they will have all the support they need!

        我校也邀请了高一、高二的中澳国际班学生参加此次峰会，让学生一睹VCE项目专业教学队伍和优质学校的风采，也是为了让学生明白，他们有着强大的后盾支持他们实现自己的梦想！

       In a more focused approach, our students and teachers are constantly monitored by the visit of our more senior professionals directly brought from Australia.

       为了严格控制VCE课程的教学质量，澳大利亚黑利伯瑞学校每学期都会派导师访问我校，进行教学工作评估和检查，与学生交流。

        Dr. Glenroy Garden and Mr. Peter Rogerson visited us on two occasions this term alone! together with the visits of Ms. Jan Bruder and Ms. Rukiah Othman.

        仅上学期，黑利伯瑞VCE英语学监Glenroy Garden 博士和黑利伯瑞国际部助理校长 Peter Rogerson先生就两次莅临我校检查，此外黑利伯瑞国际部留学生主任Jan Bruder女士和ESL导师Rukiah Othman也都有来我校与学生见面。

       The trips of such senior professionals to our school are extremely helpful in checking the development of students, curriculum fulfilment, and reviewing the performance of teachers.

       黑利伯瑞学校导师团队的拜访令学生受益匪浅，导师团队既了解了学生的进步，课程的进度，也能检验教师的教学成果。

       Our VCE department is very pleased with the intensity and hard work of this first term. Yet, we are never complacent. We restlessly look at areas of possible improvements. We look forward to a 2017 of hard and productive work with the aim of strengthening our students, achieving outstanding results.

        虽然本学期工作是强度大，难度高，但中澳VCE项目办公室所有成员对于自己取得的成绩十分欣喜。但我们并不会因此自满得意，我们将不断改进我们的教学方式，提高学生的能力。我们憧憬的2017年也会是充满挑战但收获满满的一年，我们会将更多时间用于重点领域的教学研究，让学生取得更优异的成绩。
